Julia Wakefield is a 14-year public relations veteran with a track record of successfully leading creative, results-oriented public relations strategies that achieve business goals. As an information junkie and business strategist, Wakefield serves as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives, working with clients to capture both market position and market ambition through smart corporate communications. Wakefield’s expertise includes media strategy, crisis communications, brand messaging and positioning, risk management, internal communications, and executive reputation management. Her leadership includes driving successful media campaigns and corporate communications programs across the United States, United Kingdom, South America, Europe, and the Middle East. She focuses on representing clients making news in fintech, cybersecurity, B2B technology, and law, as well as managing litigation, regulatory, and crisis matters. Wakefield joined Vansary after leading the Wakefield Communications Strategies consultancy, which focused on corporate and litigation communications. Before her work with WCS, she held the positions of vice president of corporate communications at Rubenstein Public Relations and director of public relations at fintech firm SmartAsset, both in New York City. She also served as director of accounts for Roar Media in Miami and worked in a variety of roles in several leading Miami public relations agencies. Wakefield’s community work includes serving on the boards of Commercial Real Estate Women Miami and Women in Communications South Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Davidson College.
