Jr. Communications Strategist
Emily’s career in communications began with her love for storytelling- crafting messages, sharing them and connecting with others because of them. She started her career working at the South Carolina Institute of Medicine & Public Health (IMPH), leading communications and social media strategy surrounding South Carolina’s public health issues, where she developed the digital communications and resources for IMPH amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. She has held public relations and communications-related internship positions across various industries including pharmaceutical, entertainment and not-for-profit organizations. She received her undergraduate public relations degree from the University of South Carolina, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the first UofSC student to receive the Public Relations Society of America’s Certificate in the Principles of Public Relations. Her personal passion for discovering and sharing music fuels her continued drive to help local musicians in her free time.
